The Blackwork Horse – Haflinger Breed is a beginners blackwork design. Blackwork is a counted form of hand embroidery in which interesting blackwork patterns are worked on the horse and then areas outlined with stem stitch. There are 18 pages of detailed instructions with step-by-step numbered patterns to guide you through the embroidery. You have a choice of working the design from a full chart or in the tissue paper transfer method, my recommendation is to work the horse in the tissue paper transfer method as if you make a mistake it does not throw off the whole pattern and it is easier to correct the mistake.
