The Blackwork Silhouette Design – Owl Flying is the first in a series of four designs that tell a story…….an owl is flying and spots a rabbit running, it swoops down and goes in for the catch……stay tuned for the outcome embroidery. The design is great for beginners, it is worked from a chart and a detailed instruction booklet which has step-by-step numbered diagrams and instructions to guide you through the embroidery. You have the option of working an outline around the design or leaving it without the outline for an Assisi look. The original design is worked in Waterlilies variegated silk thread on 28 count Lugana fabric but it can be worked on any size fabric and thread.
