Silver leaf (cardigan) is a raglan sleeve cardigan that is knitted holding two yarns together (a fingering and a mohair) to make it warm for the cooler months. Its round neckline finished with an Icord gives it a very feminine look. The beauty of this cardigan lies in its fairly wide lace sleeves, which then tighten at the wrist for a balloon effect. The length of the body is designed to be cropped but you could easily lenghten it if you wanted. It can also be knitted with a single thread of DK yarn to make it lighter for the mid-season. The construction is top-down : the back, the sleeves and the front are knitted back and forth to create a round neckline on the front. The sleeves are put on hold in order to knit the body; the stitches of the sleeves are then picked-up to be knitted one by one. The neckline is picked up at the end to knit an Icord border.
