The Canvas Work Flowers and Bees case is a beginners canvas work embroidery design. There are two designs that can be finished into a needle case OR a goldwork/beading pad case. There is enough canvas and bee beads in the kit to make one. The stitches are worked in Perle cotton on 18 count mono canvas. It is an easy technique that can be worked in the hand in your most comfy chair (no frame necessary). It is also a good project to take with you when you are traveling as it is easy to pick up and put down without losing your place and without having to deal with lots of different threads. The patterns are worked from a chart and there are 18 pages of detailed instructions with step-by-step numbered patterns and diagrams to guide you through the embroidery. There are two separate downloadable PDF files, one for the construction of the needle case and one for the construction for the goldwork/beading pad case, both come with the order of the instructions or kit and instructions. You will need to provide the following materials to construct the needle case: Thick Felt: You can purchase a piece of felt with the kit which will provide 6 Pieces 3 5/8 inches by 7 1/4 inches Ribbon: Two pieces of ribbon 8 inches long by 1/2 inch wide or similar width Craft Tacky Glue A goldwork and beading pad is a brilliant piece of Velux/velvet like fabric which you can use to place goldwork threads on and cut them and for spangles and beads on so they will stay in one place rather than skidding across a table surface when working with them.
