The Canvas Work Spider Web case is a beginners canvas work embroidery design. There is a choice of three spider web patterns in the instructions that can be finished into a goldwork/beading pad case OR a needle case. There is enough canvas and spider and fly beads in the kit to make one case. The stitches are worked in Perle cotton on 18 count mono canvas. It is an easy technique that can be worked in the hand in your most comfy chair (no frame necessary). It is also a good project to take with you when you are traveling as it is easy to pick up and put down without losing your place and without having to deal with lots of different threads. The spider web patterns are worked from a chart and there are 19 pages of detailed instructions with step-by-step numbered patterns and diagrams to guide you through the embroidery. There are two separate downloadable PDF files, one for the construction of the goldwork/beading pad case and one for the construction of the needle case, both come with the order of the instructions or kit and instructions. A goldwork and beading pad is a brilliant piece of Velux/velvet like fabric which you can use to place goldwork threads on and cut them and for spangles and beads on so they will stay in one place rather than skidding across a table surface when working with them.
