The Blackwork Study of Cats embroidery is a Level 3: Advanced of my Further Education kits and is an excellent design to work prior to the Blackwork Elephant as it uses the same patterns and shading method. Each cat has its own blackwork pattern, dimension is created by changing the thickness of the thread and changing the density of the pattern. There are 26 pages of detailed instructions with step-by-step numbered patterns to guide you through the embroidery and there is the option of getting the five PDF files with work-in-progress photos of each cat which are set up as lessons.
