Solvy is a topping used on towels, polo shirts and more that stabilises fabric and enhances embroidery detail. It ensures a cleaner finish on materials like polar fleece and knit fabrics by holding dense fibres in place during stitching. Use on top of thick/textured fabric or in-between layers of thin fabric to provide extra support. Superior Solvy will tear away after being perforated by stitching, or visible stabiliser can be removed with a damp cloth or a spray of water. To completely remove the Solvy, you can rinse or wash the item. For lace embroidery, soaking the item and rinsing multiple times will wash the stabiliser away completely, giving a softer finish. For stiffer lacework, rinse once and leave to dry. Small amounts of product will remain in the fabric and thread to ensure the item keeps its shape.
