Curved needles are great for awkward stitch angles, where a straight needle just won’t do. Curved Beading Needles: These are fine curved needles with a sharp point approximately 2 1/2 inches (6 cm) long, good for beading or for stitching on silk fabric or single layer cotton fabrics. Curved Quilting Needles: The smallest needle is 2 inches (5 cm) long and the largest is 3 inches (7 1/2 cm) long. Used for sewing together fabrics and for sewing down ends of embroidery threads at the back of the work such as on goldwork and stumpwork embroidery. The needles are strong with a sharp point. Curved Tapestry Needles Sizes 20, 22 and 24: The needles have a blunt end. Used for sewing together counted fabrics and for sewing down ends of embroidery threads at the back of the work.
