25% discount off retail price when six or more Hapsburg Lace Bookmark kits or instructions are ordered in one order. The kits can be different colour canvas and thread. The bookmark is a fun project to work in a group, such as at a embroiderers guild meeting or retreat. The Hapsburg Lace Bookmark is a beginners canvas work design worked in Perle cotton on 18 count mono canvas. The Hapsburg lace technique gets is name from a Lady from the Hapsburg Dynasty who developed the style, selecting the most lacy canvas stitches to mimic real lace in the form of needlework. The Hapsburg lace patterns are worked from a chart and the instruction booklet in the kit has lots of step-by-step diagrams and instructions on how to work each pattern and how to construct the bookmark. Ribbon is sewn down between some of the patterns and beads embellish some of the patterns for a touch of colour. To get nice holes at the center of the eyelets without having to pull hard on the stitches (which can distort the canvas) I suggest using a brass stiletto…..enlarge the hole in the canvas prior to stitching the eyelet. I am offering free on-going critique with this kit…..you can email me at any time if you have questions or would like me to critique your embroidery.
