The Hapsburg Lace Scissors Case is a beginners canvas work design worked in Perle cotton on 18 count mono canvas. This is a design by my very talented mother – Beppy Berlin. The Hapsburg lace technique gets is name from a Lady from the Hapsburg Dynasty who developed the style, selecting the most lacy canvas stitches to mimic real lace in the form of needlework. The Hapsburg lace patterns are worked from a chart and the instruction booklet in the kit has lots of step-by-step diagrams and instructions on how to work each pattern and how to construct the scissors case. Ribbon is sewn down between some of the patterns and beads embellish some of the patterns for a touch of colour. The small blue or pink or purple hand embroidery scissors fits nicely in the scissors case.
